74% of Ukrainians Fully Trust Zelensky, New Poll Reveals

A new survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has revealed that 74% of Ukrainians fully trust President Volodymyr Zelensky. The findings highlight a significant level of public confidence in Zelensky's leadership, even amid the ongoing conflict with Russia and internal political pressures.
The poll, carried out across all regions of Ukraine (excluding occupied territories), reflects the population's resilience and continued support for their wartime leader. According to KIIS analysts, such a high trust rating indicates strong national unity and approval of Zelensky’s handling of both military and diplomatic matters.
Despite facing challenges including battlefield uncertainties, economic strain, and complex international negotiations, Zelensky has maintained a positive image among the public. The survey also suggests that Ukrainians view him as a symbol of resistance and perseverance in the face of adversity.
Political experts note that public trust in a leader during wartime is a crucial factor for national stability. KIIS emphasized that trust levels have remained consistently high since the full-scale invasion in 2022, showcasing Zelensky’s ability to maintain public morale and legitimacy.
The poll results come at a pivotal time as Ukraine navigates both its counteroffensive operations and ongoing discussions with Western allies. With public backing remaining strong, Zelensky is expected to continue leveraging this trust to push for increased international aid and military support.
KIIS's methodology included face-to-face interviews with a representative sample of over 1,200 adults. The margin of error is reported to be under 3%, affirming the reliability of the data. These results are likely to influence both domestic policy directions and international perceptions of Zelensky’s government.
